Suffice it to say the mission does not quite go as planned and you find yourself in the middle of a much larger plot involving some entities known as Reapers and fighting a renegade Turian and his army of Robotic synthetics known as Geth.
We find Shepard on a mission to the planet of Eden Prime where you are being evaluated for humanities first position in the elite galactic special ops force known as the Specters. You play a female or male Commander Shepard starting the game mid-career.

You will find yourself laughing, sometimes crying, and even angry at certain points in the series and it is very easy to love the vast array of characters you meet along the way. The Mass Effect game series (currently consisting of 3 games) is my top pic for Sci-Fi based Action RPGs. Bioware is true to form bringing an engaging and indepth story to great gameplay and graphics as well as completely voice acted dialogue. In this blog post I revisit this fantastic title and give it a little bit of a cosmetic upgrade. Partially because I absolutely love the series, and partly because I still have achievements left to get and I am an achievement junky! ME1 happens to be worst of the series for completing achievements, involving at least 4-5 play throughs to try and get them all. Mass Effect is one of the games I never, ever uninstall from my system. Despite having 60+ Games currently installed on my PC, I sometimes get the hankering to go back to some of my favorites.
